The Five Love Languages

Are you and your spouse speaking the same language? In this study, we will learn how different people express love in different ways. In turn, we will open the key to understanding each other’s unique needs. Once we apply the correct principles and learn the right language, we can know the profound satisfaction and joy of being able to express our love the way God intended, and feeling truly loved in return. Falling in love is easy. Maintaining healthy relationships is a daily, lifelong pursuit. But it doesn’t have to be that hard. Once you know your “love language” you will understand why some attempts at romance work while others fall flat. You will find yourself more motivated and more confident that you can succeed in having the relationships you’ve always wanted. This class is for everyone; from the young adult seeking first-time love to the senior celebrating many years of wedded bliss.

Spiritual Living in a Secular World

The first half of this Bible study on the Old Testament Book of Daniel relates to events from Daniel’s long life in Babylon, from his early training as a teen, through his years of prominence in the administration of both the Babylon and Persian empires. But it’s the second half of the Book of Daniel, filled with reports of his visions, that focuses on the history of the world from his time to the arrival of the Messiah. Daniel also shares a great apocalyptic vision of history’s end; visions which Christ referred to when speaking of His own second coming. Studying Daniel will be beneficial for our growth in knowledge in obedience to God. It will not only expand our understanding of God’s program for the future of the world, but it will also expand our capacity to trust a sovereign God for our future.

Unto Us a Child is Born/Look to the Lord

Unit 1: Unto Us a Child is Born - as we enter the Advent season we will discuss this period of preparation for the coming of Christ at Christmas. We will celebrate the Messianic prophecies, the preparation for His coming, the reality of the incarnation, and the humble birth of the Christ child. Unit 2: Look to the Lord - the Psalms are read, chanted, and sung by countless people every day of the year across the face of the earth. Probably no other piece of literature has so impacted the songs and prayers of so many people for such as enduring period of time. For the people of God, the Psalms contain special encouragement because they describe the experiences of people just like us.
